| dc.description.abstract | O processo expansivo astur commumente conhecido por Reconquista cristã inicia-se em finais do século VIII, consolidando-se nos meados do século seguinte, aproveitando toda uma série de vicissitudes internas e externas que se vinham desenrolando desde a invasão muçulmana. A principal fonte de conhecimento desses episódios são um conjunto de crónicas cuja redacção remonta já ao século IX, revestidas de todo um programa ideológico e material, proporcionando-nos uma certa visão parcial dos factos. Será a interacção das mesmas com as séries documentais disponíveis, bem como, os dados entretanto revelados pela arqueologia, que nos ajudam a levantar parte dessa neblina. A adjectivação deste território, in finibus Gallecie, será empregue amiúde pelo centro político do reino astur-leonês quando se pretende falar da sua periferia Ocidental, em claro contraste com parte Oriental. Somente com recurso a este particularismo linguístico ficamos avisados sobre a especificidade da antiga Galécia romana. Avançando e instalando-se no actual território português, a partir de 868, os condes asturianos deparam-se com uma organização populacional e administrativa em que os mesmos procuram ordenar politicamente, procurando provavelmente o apoio nessa tarefa das elites do espaço ocupado. Como espaço singular no contexto do reino, com uma geografia a condizer com essa singularidade, o mesmo acolhe, em diferentes épocas e etapas, certos indivíduos e respectivos séquitos que buscam um local de algum recato face aos ditos poderes centrais, tanto do Norte cristão, como do Sul muçulmano. Após a morte de Almançor e a consequente desagregação do Califado, abre-se um período de crescente afirmação régia com medidas destinadas a debelar os focos insurreccionais que aproveitando a instabilidade corrente se foram instalando no reino. A nova dinastia vinda de Navarra, na pessoa de Fernando I, irá gerar novas dinâmicas políticas e sociais que serão gérmen do futuro reino de Portugal. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The expanding process of the Asturian kingdom, that we called Reconquista, begun at the end of the 8th century, after several internal circunstances that supported that process. The main source for our knowledge about the Reconquista is a series of chronicles, that only show us a very particular vision of the process. We must confront them with other sources, namely documental volumes and modern archaeological findings, to see a more brigth picture. We put on the main title the adjectivation in finibus Gallecie, that we can find very often in the documentation, to demonstrate that the occidental part of the astur-leonese kingdom is unique and peripheral, in contrast with Castille, the oriental part oh the kingdom. And that perception is within the main producers of the documentaion, the clergy. When the expanding process reach the modern Portugal, in 868, and unlike the christian chronicles tell us, the earls send by king Alfonso III, realize that allready exist population and a kind of administrative organizacion, but no a political one. Due to that peripherical position the land of modern Portugal and Galize, time to time gave shelter to some individuals with problems with the central powers. With the death of Almanzor and the start of a new dinasty in the leonese kingdom, with Fernando I (later called Magno), this period watched, ate the same time, a political and social revolution, with the ascend of a new class of noblemen, that forged the future kingdon of Portugal. | pt_PT |
