Análise da obra Abecedário Real e Régia Instrução de Príncipes Lusitanos, de frei João dos Prazeres, tendo em vista a compreensão da receção da Antiguidade neste texto. Identificam-se os autores, as escolas de pensamento e a aplicabilidade dos conceitos antigos neste manual para a educação do príncipe D. João, futuro D. João V, e para perceber o papel desempenhado pela Antiguidade na configuração das ideias políticas expressas por frei João dos Prazeres.
Analysis of the book Abecedário Real e Régia Instrução de Príncipes Lusitanos, by fr. João dos Prazeres, in order to understand the reception of Antiquity in this text. We identify the ancient authors, schools of thought and the applicability of concepts in this manual for the education of the prince João, the future king João V, and for the perception of the role played by Antiquity in the configuration of the political ideas expressed by fr. João dos Prazeres.
