O desenvolvimento de programas em literacia da informação por parte das bibliotecas de
ensino superior é uma atividade fundamental. Os programas de formação visam capacitar os
utilizadores em competências no manuseamento eficiente e apropriado da informação, desde
a identificação de uma necessidade de informação até ao uso e à divulgação da mesma. Nesta
dissertação de trabalho de projeto, é concebido um programa de literacia da informação na
Biblioteca do Instituto Superior Técnico através da plataforma Moodle.
No capítulo 1 são delineados os antecedentes e a evolução da literacia da informação, bem
como identificadas definições publicadas pelas instituições mais relevantes na área da
Ciência da Informação. Destaca-se a estreita ligação entre as competências de literacia da
informação e a sua importância para alcançar a missão do ensino superior, reconhecendo-a
como uma ferramenta vital para atingir os objetivos formativos da universidade.
No capítulo 2, analisa-se o Instituto Superior Técnico, sendo abordados os antecedentes, a
missão, a oferta formativa e a sua estrutura organizacional dentro da Universidade de Lisboa.
Posteriormente, a Biblioteca é minuciosamente descrita, identificando a sua missão,
objetivos, valores e estrutura organizacional, com ênfase especial na formação de
utilizadores. Além disso, são apresentadas estatísticas derivadas dos relatórios em literacia da
informação dos programas implementados desde 2017, bem como reflexões sobre as
aprendizagens obtidas a partir destas experiências de formação.
Por último, no capítulo 3, é desenvolvido o projeto de literacia da informação na plataforma
Moodle. O projeto segue o método de trabalho de projeto baseado no modelo ADDIE,
composto por cinco fases. Inicialmente, é realizada uma fundamentação teórica da
metodologia. De seguida, são detalhadas as caraterísticas de cada fase do modelo, elaborando
um plano para sua implementação. Por último, no desenho da formação, são identificados os
módulos, as sessões, os objetivos e os conteúdos, entre outros aspetos relevantes para uma
futura implementação eficaz da formação.
Esta investigação visa estabelecer as bases para uma construção sólida e eficiente do
programa de formação da BIST, garantindo que os objetivos pedagógicos sejam alcançados
de maneira eficaz e em consonância com as necessidades dos utilizadores.
The development of information literacy programs by higher education libraries is a fundamental activity. Training programs aim to empower users with skills in efficient and appropriate information handling, from identifying an information need to its use and dissemination. In this project work dissertation, an information literacy program is designed at the Library of Instituto Superior Técnico through the Moodle platform. Chapter 1 outlines the background and evolution of information literacy, identifying definitions published by the most relevant institutions in the Information Science field. The close connection between information literacy skills and their importance in achieving the mission of higher education is highlighted, recognizing it as a vital tool for achieving the educational objectives of the university. Chapter 2 analyses the Instituto Superior Técnico, addressing its background, mission, educational offerings, and organisational structure within the University of Lisbon. Subsequently, the Library at Técnico is thoroughly described, identifying its mission, objectives, values, and organisational structure, with special emphasis on user training. Additionally, statistics derived from information literacy reports of programs implemented since 2017 are presented, along with reflections on the learnings gained from these training experiences. Finally, in Chapter 3, the information literacy project on the Moodle platform is developed. The project follows the project work methodology based on the ADDIE model, consisting of five phases. Initially, a theoretical foundation of the adopted methodology is provided. Then, the characteristics of each phase of the model are detailed, elaborating a plan for its implementation. Finally, in the training design, modules, sessions, objectives, content, among other relevant aspects for future effective implementation of the training, are identified. This research aims to establish the foundations for a solid and efficient construction of the training program, ensuring that pedagogical objectives are achieved effectively and in line with user needs.
