Resumo(s)
Os textos apresentam, primeiramente, uma parte histórica do tema, seguida por uma
localização da mesma na atualidade. Seguidamente, apresentam as técnicas que são
utilizadas neste método e explicam-nas passo a passo, para que o estudante as possa
executar. Finalmente, apresentam exemplos relativamente às condições em que o Reiki
poderá ser aplicado durante a vida de qualquer pessoa, seja para ajuda própria ou para
ajudar aos outros.
A tradução destes manuais foi executada com a intenção de expandir o alcance da
informação neles contida e para pôr estes conhecimentos à disposição de pessoas que
possam não entender espanhol. A maior dificuldade na tradução foi a aproximação do
texto ao público alvo, devido à abundância de palavras e referências que requereram a
procura de equivalentes perceptíveis pelo público alvo do texto de chegada.
A reflexão sobre as questões de tradução visa apresentar e analisar as diferenças
existentes entre os dois textos, tendo em conta o par de línguas espanhol-português. Esta
reflexão incluiu a referência a questões lexicais como a terminologia, os "falsos amigos",
as colocações, as fraseologias e os processos de importação de palavras. Incluiu
igualmente referências a diferenças de natureza sintática, relacionadas com aspetos tais
como as várias construções e ordens de componentes de orações, a seleção de
complementos e os tempos gramaticais.
Para a realização da tradução, foram utilizados vários recursos, tanto em papel
como online, que incluem artigos de especialidade relativamente às questões abordadas e
ao tema em questão, dicionários e enciclopédias.
ABSTRACT: The Reiki Manuals I and II are two consecutive works that aim to teach students of schools of massage therapies and alternative medicine the curing technique called Reiki. As an introduction, the text covers the historic part of the topic followed by a presentation of the current usage of the technique. In continuation, it presents the techniques that are used and elaborates the steps so that the student may execute them. Finally, it follows with examples where Reiki can be applied in real life, whether as self-help, or to assist others. The translation of these manuals was executed with the intention of expanding the reach of the information contained in them and to place this knowledge in the hands of people who may not understand the Spanish language. The biggest challenge in the translation was the localization of the text due to the plethora of words and expressions that required the respective equivalents comprehensible by the new public. The reflection of the issues of the translation aims to present and analyze the existing differences between the two texts and the language pair Spanish and Portuguese. This includes questions referring to the lexica, such as, terminology, "false friends", collocations, phraseologies and the importation of foreign words into the existing lexica. It also presents the differences of syntax including the various constructions and orders of sentence fragments, expressions, units of various orders and tenses. There was a use of various resources for the translation including paper and online versions of articles written by experts on the issues and topic presented, dictionaries, and encyclopedias.
