Abstract(s)
O objetivo desta dissertação assenta no desenvolvimento de um produto inovador incluído na
categoria de healthy foods, apenas elaborado com ingredientes naturais, sem incorporação
de aditivos e com processamento mínimo. Uma vez que este desenvolvimento está a ser
efetuado em conjunto com a empresa que o irá comercializar, BeeLiever, será também
efetuado o plano de marketing para lançamento do produto e elaborado respetivo packaging.
O que se pretende no final da dissertação é obter um produto que possa ser lançado no
mercado, com o objetivo de promover e dar a conhecer aos consumidores os benefícios
associados e características únicas dos produtos provenientes da colmeia, que por sua vez
possuem propriedades únicas, que infelizmente ainda são muito pouco conhecidas e
valorizadas.
Com o intuito de contextualizar o objeto de estudo deste trabalho, começa-se por abordar a
história da apicultura, conhecimento dos consumidores em relação aos produtos provenientes
da colmeia e realiza-se uma caracterização do setor apícola na União Europeia.
Seguidamente, é efetuada caracterização dos ingredientes que constituem o produto,
nomeadamente Pólen, Própolis e Equinácea, de modo a que possa ser percecionado o
porque da sua escolha para o desenvolvimento deste produto, com destaque para as suas
propriedades benéficas para a Saúde Humana.
Após contextualização do tema e caracterização dos ingredientes, é efetuado um resumo da
legislação aplicável ao produto em causa, justificando a legislação em vigor que teve de ser
tida em consideração para o desenvolvimento do produto.
A partir dos resultados obtidos pela realização da presente dissertação, foi possível elaborar
a ficha técnica do produto, respetivo packaging, de acordo com a legislação em vigor, e
estabeleceu-se o plano de marketing.
Deste modo, os objetivos inicialmente estabelecidos foram cumpridos, encontrando-se o
produto pronto para ser lançado no mercado. O lançamento oficial do produto será no dia de
apresentação da dissertação, em 2021.
The goal of this dissertation relies on the development of a new product, innovation product included in the healthy Foods category, made exclusively by natural ingredients, without any kind of processing. Once the development is being made with the company that´s responsible for it´s commercialization, will be developed a marketing plan and the design of the product packaging. The goal in the end of this work is that the product is ready to be launched in the market, with the ultimate goal of promoting and to create knowledge to the consumers regarding the benefits associated and the unique characteristics of the products from the beehive, which have unique properties, that unfortunately are not well known and not given the actual credit they deserve. In order to provide the context to the work that´s being developed, started by a little approach to the history of beekeeping, knowledge of the consumers in Portugal regarding the Beehive products and a Characterization of the Beekeeping sector in European Union. In the next chapters, it´s made a characterization of the ingredients, namely Pollen, Propolis and Echinacea, so that the choice of these ingredients could be understood, with the major focus on the benefits for human health. After the context of the theme and characterization of the ingredients, it´s been done a resume of all the legislation applicable to the regarding product, justifying the legislation that we have in account in order to develop the packaging. In the results of this work, it has been elaborated a technical sheet of the product, the packaging, according to the legislation in force, and a marketing plan. In terms of conclusion, all the goals that were defined where fulfilled and the product is now ready to be launched in the market. The official release of the product will be made in the presentation of this work, in 2021.
