A presente investigação procura oferecer uma análise do quadro conjuntural em que se inscreveu a derrota do lulismo e a ascensão do bolsonarismo, tendo como fundamento os postulados da Teoria Marxista da Dependência, instrumento clássico de interpretação das contradições do desenvolvimento capitalista na periferia latino-americana. A proposta de retomar este marco do pensamento crítico latino-americano como bússola a guiar o exame da conjuntura brasileira se reverte, pois, em duas finalidades: a primeira, de participar no resgate desta matriz teórica pouco estudada, no Brasil e em Portugal, e a segunda, por sua vez, consubstancia-se na investigação do seu alcance teórico e atualidade analítica para compreensão dos câmbios experimentados no capitalismo brasileiro nesta aurora do século XXI.
The present investigation seeks to offer an analysis of the conjunctural framework in which the defeat of lulism and the rise of bolsonarism were inscribed, based on the postulates of the Marxist Theory of Dependence, a classic instrument for interpreting the contradictions of capitalist development in the Latin American periphery. The proposal to retake this landmark of Latin American critical thinking as a compass to guide the examination of the Brazilian conjuncture, therefore, has two purposes: the first, to participate in the rescue of this little-studied theoretical matrix, in Brazil and Portugal, and the second, in turn, is substantiated in the investigation of its theoretical scope and analytical current to understand the changes experienced in Brazilian capitalism at the dawn of the 21st century.
