| dc.description.abstract | The architect landscapist has an activity which covers many areas of intervention, in this work only if distinguishes its activity at project level in public space. The objective of this work will be to create a structure enabling guide future urban plans of Lisbon to it becomes more readable and homogeneous, that is, that can be read as a whole. As the planning has greater importance the landscap architect has to concern increasingly with the quality of urban life. The public space is a structuring element of the form and urban experience, because it allows continuity function well with the occurrence of expressions of social, environmental or cultural. The quality of public life by interaction between individuals and how they use the space, so the capacity of the individual to feel good, live, socialize or simply relax the created spaces reflecting the success of the project. The urban planning indicated here – strategic plan for the public area of Lisbon – will help to create a town more readable and sustainable. As a complement to the perception of the same, was created a matrix of support, which will unite the whole urban space and create a single structure for the whole city of Lisbon, facilitating access to all and contribute to the interaction of the area with its users. This matrix will be the basis of all the work and is divided into parameters and vectors, which help create solutions that comply with the existing tipo logies to highlight the public space, that is, the parameters concern the typologies exist in the city of Lisbon, since Sewage the gardens and the vectors are objectives that will have to be respected by planner, ranging from functional characteristics as the safety or mobility in space, specific environmental characteristics as the need for irrigation or attention to prevention and management of waste and peculiarities of educational or assets. We have in mind that the importance of each vector varies according to the parameter that relates. This planner before the first outline may examine the space through the matrix and define the priorities of each typology of design and thus outline objectives to ensure the success of the area, for example, setting out the importance of a new construction in comparison to a reclassification. This work also refers to the attention to the capacity to boost the practices of planning, management and maintenance associated with the rationalisation of resources, or both the strategic plan as the matrix will operate as guiding documents either at project level, both at management level or even either at the level of final decision.In addition to the planning by the designer, for an area thrive must exist civic participation, to produce a compromise between the municipal administration and the population, that awareness of both parties allows the reflection in the construction of a city admirable all. In order to exemplify the use of the matrix, appears in this work the draft fifth of morgado in olive groves, which belongs to the parameters of green spaces and had as a priority intervention of qualification of the interior of the block.
