Abstract(s)
Este trabalho pretende analisar o impacto que a globalização, e consequentemente as novas tecnologias têm na imprensa escrita. Com o aparecimento da Internet, a comunicação tornou-se muito mais rápida e eficaz ganhando novas formas de se estabelecer. O Jornal de Letras, Artes e Ideias, local onde realizei o meu estágio de Mestrado, serve de base a este estudo. Toda a forma como a instituição está organizada, os seus membros e os seus objetivos servem para que possamos analisar e refletir sobre as potencialidades do jornal face ao mundo digital. Assim o grande objetivo deste trabalho passa por verificar as mudanças que se têm verificado no JL com a globalização, e por tentar encontrar formas de o jornal se afirmar nesta sociedade em rede. Sugere-se concretamente que, sem perder o foco na sua edição impressa, o JL possa potencializar a utilização que já faz de ferramentas como a Internet, e nomeadamente o seu site ou a sua página no Facebook de modo a poder interagir de forma mais consistente com o seu público e ao mesmo tempo criar e conquistar novos públicos.
This essay’s purpose is to analise the impact that globalization, and consequently, the new technologies, have on the written press. With the appearance of the Internet, communication has become much faster and effective gaining new forms of establishing itself. Jornal de Letras, Artes e Ideias, place where I conducted my master´s degree internship, serve has a root to my study. Anyway, the way the institution is organized, their members and goals enable the analysis and considerations about the potential of the journal against the digital world. This way, the main purpose of this piece is to verify the changes that ocurred on JL with the globalization and to try to find ways and solutions for the journal to keep up with the connected society. The sugestions, without forgetting the paper component of the journal, seek to potentiate the use of tools like the Internet and subsequently its website and Facebook page in a way that allows a more consistent interaction with its already users and readers, while keeping a permanent search for a new audience.
