Resumo(s)
The oldest existing maps, plans and panoramic views of Macau are a valuable tool to the study of urban morphology and architecture of the early port city erected on the fringes of Guangdong from the mid-sixteenth century onwards. In any case, a careful analysis of the key mapping models and their mechanisms of diffusion also shed light on how a limited set of images was successively manipulated and deformed depending on the ordering requirements, the artistic ability or the programmatic intentionality of those who produced these same images.
