As tecnologias na educação do turismo durante a pandemia COVID-19

| dc.description.abstract | Devido à pandemia foi necessário mudar do sistema de ensino de presencial para à distância. Face a esta mudança, a presente investigação tem por objetivo aferir a satisfação dos alunos com a qualidade do ensino à distância. Foram realizados 314 inquéritos online, dirigidos a estudantes de turismo de diferentes níveis de ensino. Os dados permitem conhecer a satisfação dos alunos e fragilidades que identi cam. Em termos gerais, apura-se, através das opiniões dos alunos, que as aulas online tendem a ser satisfatórias, uma vez que apresentam mais aspetos positivos do que negativos. No entanto, apenas 19% referem conseguir aprender por meios tecnológicos. Como benefícios são identi cados os elementos do conforto, da não exposição ao vírus e da dispensabilidade da deslocação. Como elementos negativos são identi cadas as questões da falta de contato com professores e colegas, da sobrecarga de trabalho, da facilidade em copiar, da extensividade das aulas, da facilidade de distração e da invasão de privacidade com a obrigatoriedade do uso de som e câmaras. Na análise das tecnologias utilizadas, veri ca-se uma tendência para a utilização de PowerPoint, Kahoot, Padlet, Google forms, Quizizz e Mentimeter. Acredita-se que, no futuro, os professores de turismo devam ser questionados sobre as metodologias utilizadas e as di culdades vivenciadas, assim como a criação de novas ferramentas de formação e avaliação para alunos de curso de turismo. Complementarmente, identi ca-se a necessidade de serem analisadas potenciais diferenças entre disciplinas/unidades curriculares e a plani cação das respetivas aulas. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Due to the pandemic it was necessary to switch the teaching system from face-to-face to distance learning. In view of this change, this investigation aims to assess student satisfaction with the quality of distance education. Conditioned by the pandemic situation, 314 online surveys were carried out, aimed at tourism students from di erent levels of education. The data allow interpreting student satisfaction and the weaknesses they identify. In general terms, it is clear from the students' opinions that online classes tend to be satisfactory, as they present more positive aspects than negative ones. However, only 19% report being able to learn through technological means. As bene ts, the elements of comfort, non-exposure to the virus and the dispensability of travel are identi ed. As negative elements, issues such as lack of contact with professors and colleagues, work overload, ease of copying, the extensiveness of classes, ease of distraction and invasion of privacy with the mandatory use of sound and cameras are identi ed. In the analysis of the technologies used, there is a trend towards the use of PowerPoint, Kahoot, Padlet, Google forms, Quizizz and Mentimeter. It is believed that, in the future, tourism teachers should be asked about the methodologies used and the di culties experienced, as well as the creation of new training and assessment tools for tourism course students.
