procurando integrá-lo no contexto comercial do Ocidente peninsular.
Idade do Ferro e o Período Romano, estreitamente integrada na evolução do
povoamento de Castro Marim.
Abstract: This thesis focuses on the study of the complete series of grey pottery fragments resulting from archaeological excavations at the Castle of Castro Marim from 1983 to 2003. The presence at this site of this kind of pottery has been observed on every moment of the Iron Age occupation, from the second half of the 8th century to at least the 4th century BC, in archaeological contexts showing Eastern and Phoenician influences, which it was our aim to consider within this peninsular Western trade context. The material evidence, studied under a typological and morphological perspective, has shown a diachronically intense occupation, between the Bronze and Modern Ages, and particularly during the Iron and Roman Ages, closely integrated within the evolution of the Castro Marim settlement.
