The research that follows has as its main case study the life and work of photographer and photojournalist António Capela, framing him in the particular context of his connection to Sporting Clube de Portugal, a sports association of which he was a member and where he also carried out his activity. professional, at the service of Jornal Sporting. The objective of this study is to theorize, research and gather information that could be framed, in the future, in the possible creation and development of the project of a Museological Unit, entirely dedicated to António Capela, with said Museological Unit designed to be based in Minde. Even though he was born in the city of Lisbon, António Capela always considered Minde his homeland, which is why the collaboration and strategic partnership of the Núcleo do SCP de Minde would be important in its concession and idealization. In addition to the creation of a Museological Unit, another of the final objectives of this research project involves the projection of a Thematic and Traveling Exhibition, thus addressing all themes related to this research. The project for the aforementioned Exhibition encompasses part of António Capela's collection - the transfer of which would be possible through a possible partnership with the institutions that hold their respective collection (photographic, bibliographic, artistic and documentary) - the Sporting Museum, Sporting Museum in Leiria, Record newspaper, Sports Museum and personal estate of António Capela, which is in the custody of his family. To achieve the main objective of this dissertation, biographical, documentary and artistic records and thematic exhibitions relating to his life and work are analyzed.
