This work intends to show that a moral perfect person should still feel negative moral emotions about himself, such as guilt, shame or humility. With that purpose, we compare the feelings of the ideal person for Aristotle to the feelings of the ideal person for Hume, based on the moral dilemma faced by the main character of the Schlink’s novel The Reader.
