Intervenção psicomotora no âmbito da reabilitação neurológica na Clínica Neurofit

O presente relatório, desenvolvido através do Ramo de Aprofundamento de Competências Profissionais, como parte integrante do Mestrado em Reabilitação Psicomotora, reúne informações teóricas sobre o decorrer do envelhecimento normal e patológico, com especial enfoque nas perturbações que ocorrem no âmbito neurológico. É atribuído um maior destaque ao Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), e como a terapia psicomotora (TPM) pode constituir-se um apoio para indivíduos sobreviventes desta patologia, por ter sido a população mais contactada durante o período de estágio. De seguida, é descrito o ambiente clínico onde decorreu a intervenção psicomotora, assim como, os casos acompanhados, com outras patologias do âmbito neurológico. De forma particular, serão destacados dois estudos-caso, com diagnóstico principal de AVC, e o trabalho desenvolvido com os mesmos. Por último, serão apresentadas todas as atividades complementares realizadas neste período, e ainda, a participação na realização de um artigo sobre a formação e a intervenção do psicomotricista durante a pandemia.
The present work was developed as part of the ‘Development of Professional Skills’ unit, included in the MSc in Psychomotor Rehabilitation at Faculty of Human Kinetics. Overall, the aim is to report the experiences and knowledge gain throughout the final-year of clinical work-placement. In specific, this work reviews and discusses the body of academic knowledge on normal and pathological processes of aging, with a particular focus on the disorders that occur in the neurological sphere of the brain. Here, a great emphasis will be given to how psychomotor therapy can support and improve the mobility of individuals surviving from stroke. Following this, attention will be given to the description of the clinical environment where the psychomotor intervention took place, as well as to the multitude of neurological pathologies cases followed. Among these, two case studies with a main diagnosis of stroke, will be highlighted to explore in-depth the work carried out with these patients. Finally, all complementary activities experienced during the clinical work-placement will be presented, as well as the collaboration in an academic article focused on the training and development of the psychomotricity interventions during the current pandemic.
