dc.description.abstractThe present doctoral research deals with the valorization of artistic and heritage education in the context of the 1st cycle of Basic Education, considering the improvement and innovation of learning through interdisciplinarity between the artistic and other curricular subjects. This study took place at Jardim Escola João de Deus de Alvalade and at Palácio Nacional da Ajuda, through creative partnerships supported by an interprofessional collaboration platform between artists and teachers in interrelationship with 1st cycle students, valuing a confrontation of practices and guidelines which allowed the construction of significant knowledge for personal and collective existence. Through a culture of cooperation, it was intended to diversify profiles and skills, using integrated forms of dynamization, expanding the learning places, which allowed the collection of data for the construction, planning and structuring of a didactic in artistic education centering on the interrelated learning of mathematics and music. A research-action methodology was adapted, focusing on two classes of the 1st and 4th year of Basic Education, considering the possibility of adapting the educational modules respectively to the 2nd and 3rd year. The activities had as methodological reference the proposal Education, Art and Heritage (EAP) and provided participants with direct contact with Art, Culture and History, through complemented pedagogical strategies with the realization of creative performances in theatre, plastic arts and music, which allowed the enhancement of capacities and competences in the motor and cognitive domains. The didactic proposal consisted also in the elaboration of mathematical exercises structured with elements of musical language, which aimed to achieve transformative learning.
