A formação contínua dos educadores de infância constitui o objecto de
estudo do trabalho.
Pela diversidade de contextos de formação e entidades promotoras
envolvidas na formação contínua dos educadores de infância referenciámos a
análise da temática a uma entidade de formação específica, os Centros de
Formação das Associações de Escolas.
O estudo incidiu sobre seis concelhos do Alentejo, rurais e urbanos, os
quais coincidem com a área de intervenção dos dois centros de formação.
Constituíram sujeitos do estudo vinte e dois educadores de infância e
dois directores dos Centros de Formação das Associações de Escolas.
Para a realização do estudo sobre as representações dos educadores
de infância e dos directores dos centros de formação utilizámos a metodologia
qualitativa de carácter exploratório. A entrevista semi-directiva foi o
instrumento utilizado para a recolha de dados.
A recolha empírica permitiu observar os significados que comporta esta
temática para os sujeitos.
No final, foi possível compreender as percepções dos educadores de
infância e dos directores dos centros sobre a formação, mas também sobre as
dinâmicas de formação contínua existentes na região, para os educadores de
infância.
This study examines the continous formation of pre-school teachers. A wide range of types of continous formation exist for pre-school teachers and a large number of bodies offers such courses. This study focuses on a body witch offers specific training courses: the Schools Association Training Centres Organisation. The study takes in an area of the Alentejo with a total of six rural and urban districts, which is covered by the two training centres. Twenty-two pre-school teachers and two heads of School Association Training Centres took part in the study. A qualitative methodology of an exploratory nature was used in the study. Semi- directive were carried out with the subjects in order to find out their representations. The empirical data collected enabled the meanings witch the subjects assign to the theme of the study to be determined. This study enable not only the perceptions of the pre-school teachers and heads of Schools Association Training Centres as regards the continous formation of pre-school teachers to be determined but also the training dynamics of the centres for pre-school teachers in the target area.
