The bank was only responsible to cover his costs, ensuring a proper rentability to his equity, respect the proposed limits on the financial projections included in the Rescue Decision. After the total refund of the State help, it was predicted the return of viability of the bank, through internal measures and identifying the cause of difficulties and weak points. This project main goal is to study the financial demonstrations of the last ten years - 2005 to 2015 -, with special attention to the main financial ratios and the determination of the reasons that led to the necessity of recapitalization of the bank as well as the analysis of the restructuration of the Portuguese bank Banif - Banco International do Funchal, SA, that took place on January of 2013 and ended up with the resolution in the end of 2015. This project is concluded demonstrating how the requirements and projections indicated on the restructuration plan were fulfilled or not, as well as the point of view of the clients and the shareholders, after the resolution of the bank.
