O presente documento tem como objetivo formular uma proposta de reabilitação e interiores
para o que foi o “Restaurante Panorâmico de Monsanto”, localizado no Parque Florestal de
Monsanto, em Lisboa. Este edifício, dos anos 60, é um exemplo icónico de arquitetura que
integrava um miradouro municipal e que apesar do estado degradado e sem condições de
segurança em que se encontrava em 2022-2023, fascinava qualquer pessoa pelas vistas
magnificas que nos oferecia sobre a cidade de Lisboa, afinal não é por acaso que se chama
Panorâmico. No presente momento de escrita (2024) este espaço encontra-se
temporariamente encerrado.
A proposta procura em parte devolver o que terá ou poderia ter sido o Panorâmico
preservando ideias e aspetos únicos projetados anteriormente, percebendo-o e estudando-o
para melhor se conseguir adaptar os diferentes programas possibilitando uma diversificação
de usos que atraia diferentes tipos de utilizadores. Pretende-se também, através da temática
da luz e cor, mostrar a sua importância na criação de novos espaços agindo em continuidade
ou contraste entre o novo e o existente.
The aim of this document is to formulate a rehabilitation and interior design proposal for what was once the "Restaurante Panorâmico de Monsanto", located in the Parque Florestal de Monsanto in Lisbon. This building, from the 1960s, is an iconic example of architecture that integrated a municipal viewpoint, which, despite the delapidated and unsafe state it was in in 2022-2023, fascinated everyone with the magnificent views it offered over the city of Lisbon – after all, it’s no coincidence that it’s called Panorâmico. At the time of writing (2024) this space is temporarily closed. This proposal seeks, in part, to bring back what the Panorâmico would or could have been, by preserving the unique ideas and aspects designed previously, understanding and studying it in order to better adapt the different programs and enabling a diversification of uses to attract different types of users. Through the theme of light and color, the aim is also to show its importance in the creation of new spaces, acting in continuity or contrast between the new and the existing.
