Os Julgados de Paz, desde a sua implementação na ordem jurídica portuguesa, têm demonstrado uma grande proximidade para com os cidadãos, tratando-se de um Tribunal célere e que coloca os cidadãos como partes ativas no processo, sendo obrigatória a sua presença ao longo da tramitação processual.
O presente Relatório de Estágio descreverá os conhecimentos teóricos e práticos adquiridos ao longo do Estágio Curricular de quatro meses no Julgado de Paz de Bombarral, de fevereiro de 2019 a junho de 2019.
Este relatório inicia-se com a componente teórica, desde a história dos Julgados de Paz até às custas processuais, passando depois à componente prática, explicando os procedimentos observados durante o Estágio. Finalmente, será feita uma abordagem a sugestões para a aumentar a eficácia dos Julgados de Paz, assim como às citações de demandados no estrangeiro e as variações dos Julgados de Paz no plano europeu, abordando o sistema espanhol, o sistema italiano e o sistema belga.
The Julgados de Paz, since they were implemented in the Portuguese legal order, have shown its closeness to the citizens, as it is a fast court that places citizens as active parties in the process, and their presence is obligatory throughout all the proceedings. The present Internship Report will describe the knowledge acquired during the Internship on Julgados de Paz in Bombarral, for a four-month period, from February 2019 to June 2019. This report begins with the theoretical component, from the history of the Justices of Peace to the procedural costs, and then the practical component, explaining the procedures observed during the Internship. Finally, an approach will be made to suggestions for increasing the effectiveness of the Julgados de Paz, as well as summoning defendants abroad and the variations of the Julgados de Paz at a European level, addressing the Spanish, Italian and Belgian system.
