Starting from a specific corpus of texts from the early Nietzsche, this thesis aims to analyse the tropological theory of language that can be found in those texts, trace its influences, and extrapolate its epistemological and ontological consequences. Elements that support the theory are found in classical rhetoric and modern philosophy, and several subsequent points are put forward, such as establishing mimesis and relations as elementary particles of this model, the thing-in-itself as a fiction that is made possible by the logos, and the interdependent duality between life and knowledge.
