As revoluções do Antigo Regime através dos objetos museológicos – O papel da cultura material na didática da história

O relatório aqui apresentado corresponde ao trabalho desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em
Ensino de História no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no Ensino Secundário, nomeadamente no
decurso da nossa prática letiva supervisiona na Escola Secundária José Gomes Ferreira. Esta
desenvolveu-se com os alunos de uma turma do 11.º ano de escolaridade, do curso CientíficoHumanístico de Artes Visuais, na disciplina de História da Cultura e das Artes e abordou os
conteúdos históricos relativos ao Módulo “A Cultura de Salão”, correspondente grosso modo
à última fase do Antigo Regime e ao dealbar era das revoluções, recorrendo a metodologias
inspiradas na teoria da aprendizagem significativa de David Paul Ausubel.
Paralelamente, no último segmento deste relatório, sondamos as potencialidades da cultura
material para a didática da História, nomeadamente através de um exercício de exploração dos
objetos museais para a construção de um museu virtual alusivo à era das revoluções.
The report presented here describes the work undertaken within the scope of the MA in History Education, namely during our supervised teaching practice at the José Gomes Ferreira Secondary School. This practice was developed with students of an 11th-grade class, enrolled in the Scientific-Humanistic Visual Arts course, during their History of Culture and Arts classes. It sought to address the historical contents related to the module “The Culture of the Salon”, corresponding roughly to the last phase of the Ancien Régime and to the dawning of the era of revolutions, using methodologies inspired by the theory of meaningful learning by David Paul Ausubel. Concurrently, in the last segment of this report, we probe the potential of material culture for the didactics of History, namely through the exploration of museum objects for the construction of a virtual museum alluding to the era of revolutions.
