Resumo(s)
This paper presents the culmination of the MSc program in Conservation Sciences, Restoration and Contemporary Art Production, and aims at the preservation and presentation of molds and pieces in gesso belonging to the legacy of master Lagoa Henriques. In the first part, the approach is more theoretical, giving more importance to the life and work of the sculptor, by explaining and setting out his tendencies, as well as the theme of Conservation and Preservation, referring to the important task of attempting to verify the potential longevity of the master sculptor’s works. In the second part, the approach is more practical, specifying all the work done on the legacy of Lagoa Henriques, work performed in situ, with all the adopted strategies, the process of filling and discovery of the molds, cleaning, inventory, and sorting. Last but not least is the presentation of the work, by organizing an exhibit in the gallery of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, as a way of presentation and dissemination of the work and assets of sculptor Lagoa Henriques
