O presente relatório visa dar a conhecer o trabalho realizado ao longo de nove meses na instituição Centro de Integração e Reabilitação de Tomar - CIRE, nomeadamente na valência Centro de Atividades Ocupacionais - CAO.
O CIRE surgiu pela iniciativa de algumas pessoas que tinham ao seu cargo familiares portadores de deficiência. Diretamente atingidos pela ausência de estruturas estatais, este grupo lançou mãos à obra e viu o seu esforço compensado com a legalização desta instituição no dia dez de fevereiro de 1976, com a assinatura e promulgação dos estatutos. Um percurso já longo a abraçar a causa da solidariedade e a promover serviços e atividades em prol da pessoa portadora de deficiência, da área geográfica do concelho de Tomar e concelhos limítrofes.
O meu estágio decorreu na valência CAO, onde se encontram noventa utentes, com idades compreendidas entre os dezoito e cinquenta e dois anos. Estes estão divididos por dezasseis salas. O meu estágio focou-se em adultos com necessidades educativas especiais - NEE que possuem incapacidade intelectual.
Deste modo, organizei sessões de apoio socioeducativo com o objetivo de fomentar o conhecimento do “senso comum”. Procurei estimular o interesse por questões relacionadas com a responsabilidade cívica e com a cultura portuguesa. Foi um trabalho realizado com doze participantes: seis do sexo feminino e seis do sexo masculino. Estes estavam divididos por turnos: quatro participantes das 9h00 às 10h30; quatro participantes das 11h00 às 12h30; e quatro das 14h00 às 15h30.
O estágio também se centrou no desenvolvimento de atividades de animação sociocultural, com os utentes do CAO.
Com apoio financeiro de algumas empresas, dezasseis participantes com mobilidade reduzida foram visitar o Jardim Zoológico de Lisboa. Participaram na atividade de paintball catorze participantes. Por fim, catorze participantes realizaram a atividade de karting.
Em suma, com o decorrer do estágio procurei responder às necessidades educativas especiais e de animação sociocultural dos participantes, através de recursos a materiais diversos. Foi possível captar a atenção de cada um e desenvolver o gosto pelo conhecimento e pela partilha de informação aprendida. Apesar dos participantes terem necessidades educativas especiais, conseguem captar informação se esta for cuidadosamente apresentada.
The present report is meant to present the work done during the period of nine months in the instituition Center of Integration and Rehabilitation of Tomar – CIRE, namely in the valence Center of Activities Occupational – CAO. CIRE emerged by the initiative of some people that had a family member that carried some sort of deficiency. Directly affected by the absence of State stuctures, this group develop several efforts and saw all the efforts being rewarded with the legalization of this instituition on the 10th of February of 1976, with the signature and promulgation of the referred Centre statutes. A long route embracing the cause of solidarity and promoting services and activities for the disabled person was done, in the geographic area of the municipality of Tomar and peripherals. My internship started at the 3rd of October of 2016 and finished and the 1st of June 2017. This internship was developed in the CAO, where were ninety users, with ages within eighteen and fifty two years old. These were divided in sixteen rooms. My internship focused in adults with special educational needs who have intellectual disability. I organized activities of socio educational and cultual animation, to encourage the development of knowledge of the users of CAO. I tried to stimulate the interest for questions related to the civic responsibility and the Portuguese culture, among other subjects. It was based on dynamic activities and allowed the cooperation among the participants. It was a work done with twelve participants: six female and six male. They were divide by shifts: four participants from 9 am to 10:30 am; four participants from 11 am to 12:30 am; and four participants from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. The internship was, also, focused in the development of socio cultural activities, with the users of CAO. Many of the activities were carried outside the institution, in particular outside of Tomar. With financial support from some companies the participants with reduced mobility visited the Zoo of Lisbon. The participants of the class four practiced paintball. Lastly, the participants of classes four and six developed karting. Within the internship, I tried to answer to the special educational needs and implemented socio educational and cultural animation activities, using a wide range of materials. It was possible to motivate them, develop knowledge and sharing of information learned. Although the participants had special educational needs, they are able to develop knowledge when carefully presented.
