This research tries to contextualize and analyze the Human Rights of Women in International Universal scenery and especially the International Regional scenario the Inter-American Human Rights System, in addition to analyzing Brazil's role in the protection and promotion of these Human Rights in its territory. More specifically seeks to address the International Conventions Universal and Regional Authorities on Human Rights of Women, focusing on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, the United Nations System and the Convention on the Prevention, Punishment and Eradication of Violence against Women - Convention of "Belém do Pará", the Inter-American Human Rights System. And seeks to address also the great achievement of the Brazilian legislation regarding the protection of Women's Rights, the Maria da Penha Law - born based on international diplomas, after much struggle of Brazilian women for gender equality and to end violence against the women
