No presente trabalho pretende-se reflectir acerca do ensino da lĂngua portuguesa em Timor-Leste, apresentando propostas que visem desenvolver a competĂȘncia comunicativa dos professores timorenses, contribuindo para melhorar a sua competĂȘncia em ensino, promovendo a sua plena integração no espaço lusĂłfono. A reflexĂŁo tem como ponto de partida uma descrição dos parĂąmetros actuais do ensino da lĂngua portuguesa nesse paĂs, apoiada por uma imagem do contexto linguĂstico timorense, concluindo com propostas de contextualização do portuguĂȘs em Timor-Leste, a fim de identificar metodologias especĂficas para o seu ensino e aprendizagem. O projecto apresentado procurou conceber um plano de formação contĂnua de professores e ainda fornecer linhas de orientação para a concepção de um quadro de referĂȘncia para o ensino do portuguĂȘs naquele paĂs. Para isso realizaram-se dois diagnĂłsticos: i) diagnĂłstico de anĂĄlise de necessidades do pĂșblico-alvo, restringindo-se aos professores do distrito de LautĂ©m; ii) diagnĂłstico da anĂĄlise da competĂȘncia linguĂstica, incidindo na componente escrita, aos professores timorenses de trĂȘs distritos do paĂs, LautĂ©m, Manatuto e Bobonaro. A anĂĄlise dos resultados de ambos os diagnĂłsticos permitiu apresentar propostas que contribuam para a concepção de um plano de formação contĂnua dos professores timorenses dos ensinos primĂĄrio, prĂ©-secundĂĄrio e secundĂĄrio e para a construção de um quadro de referĂȘncia para o ensino da LĂngua Portuguesa em Timor-Leste.
In the present work it is intended to offer some thoughts about the teaching of Portuguese language in East Timor, presenting proposals to develop the communicative ability of Timorese teachers, helping to improve their teaching ability, promoting their full integration into the Lusophone context. The discussion is based on a description of the current parameters of the Portuguese teaching in that country, supported by an image of Timorese linguistic context, concluding with proposals for the contextualization of the Portuguese language in East Timor to identify specific methodologies to its teaching and learning. The current project sought to design a plan of continuous training of teachers and also provide guidelines for the design of a framework for the teaching of Portuguese language in the country. In order to that, were applied two diagnoses: i) diagnosis of needs analysis of the public, restricted itself to teachers in the district of Lautem; ii) diagnostic analysis of the linguistic ability, focusing on the writing component, to teachers of three East Timorese districts, Lautém, Manatuto e Bobonaro. The results of both diagnosis allowed to present proposals that will help design a plan for continuous training of Timorese teachers of primary, pre-secondary and secondary grades and the construction of a framework of reference for the teaching of Portuguese language en East Timor.
