This Dissertation was written in order to contribute to the academics, and comic book lovers, integration of comics into the contemporary pop culture of the 21st century. Comics, a medium for transmitting stories through image and word, are not much different from what the Greek of Ancient Greece did in their vases and poetry contests. So that, a corpus of comic strips that were based on the Homeric Poems was selected in order to understand the contemporary popular viewpoint on these epics and what motivated artists to adapt them into comics, or, more accepted terminology in the last decade, graphic novels. The main focus is to compare these comics with Homer's epos, and also to understand the message the adaptor is trying to convey and to whom they want to convey it to as a target audience.
