Este ensaio tem por objectivo principal o estudo de antologias do ponto de vista do leitor. Interessa-nos saber em que medida é que estes objectos compostos são objectos literários e, sendo-o, em que medida é a leitura afectada pela multiplicidade de elementos que os compõem. Focar-nos-emos com maior rigor na produção antológica do século XX, que consideraremos culminar na publicação de Século de Ouro. Antologia Crítica da Poesia Portuguesa do Século XX (2002). Pela sua estrutura e pelo seu momento, a antologia servirá de ponte para a indagação sobre os efeitos da leitura e da sua encenação.
Our goal with this essay is to approach the study of literary anthologies from the perspective of the reader. We will be invested in learning to what measure is the reader affected by the disposition of multiplicity in an anthological body. By comparing anthologies with other collections, we will propose theoretical approaches to the intertextual connections between the various elements of an anthological body. We will also be heavily focusing on the relationship between the critic and the collector throughout the Twentieth Century as well as its place in the authorial order, mainly in Século de Ouro. Antologia Crítica da Poesia Portuguesa do Século XX (2002). Due to its structure and moment, this anthology will serve as bridge to questioning the effects of the reading process and staging.
