Esta dissertação visa analisar a importância que um tradutor técnico de a
viação tem dentro do meio , visto ser uma área cada vez mais dependente do inglês para efeitos
de segurança. O objetivo geral desta pesquisa é compreender se o trabalho de um
tradutor técnico de aviação se encontra em extinção, ou seja, se é uma área cuja procura
esteja cada vez mais em decréscimo.
O primeiro capítulo visa explicitar o conceito de tradução técnica e caracterizar
o trabalho de um tradutor técnico , analisando também a sua formação com a ajuda da
Universidade . O segundo capítulo apresenta o foco da dissertação, a tradução técnica de
aviação, começando por introduzir a língua dos céus e passando então a explicitar as
maiores dificuldades com que um tradutor técnico de aviação se depara . Foi também
feito um questionário a profissionais da área, para compreender a importância do
tradutor técnico na aviação. Por fim, o terceiro capítulo, o mais breve dos três, explicita
o que é a Terminologia e os termos técnicos.
This dissertation aims to analyze de importance of a technical translator in the field of aviation, given the fact that it’s increasingly dependent on English due to safety. The purpose of this research serves to understand if the work of a technical trans lator of aviation is growing extinct, meaning, if it’s an area in which the demand is decreasing. The first chapter seeks to explain the concept of technical translation and to characterize the work of a technical translator, while also analyzing how exac tly the Academy helps with the training of a translator . The second chapter presents the main focus of this dissertation technical translation of aviation starting by introducing the language of the skies and proceeding to explain the major difficultie s faced by a technical translation in this field. A questionnaire aimed to analyze the opinio n s of aviation professionals was also conducted , in order to understand the importance of a technical translator of aviation. Finally, the third chapter, also the shortest of the three, explains exactly what Terminology and technical terms are.
