do país.
alunos e professores.
The rural area of Senegal is characterized by its poverty and lack of resources, such as healthcare, nutritious food, and education, among others. This is largely due to its historical, geographical, cultural, meteorological, social, and economic context. There are several challenges to achieving education in Africa, and Senegal is no exception. In response to this situation, the proposed solution is a school that adapts to the rural areas of Senegal from north to south. A school that primarily uses local raw materials, labor, and knowledge, reducing costs and easily built by the community. It should be self-sustainable or close to it, and encourage students to take care of it and benefit from everything the school has to offer. Three villages in the north, center, and south of the country were chosen for the school to be adapted. Since the villages have different sizes, the size of the school was adjusted to the village, creating sizes S, M, and L. The S school can potentially become an L or larger, depending on their needs. Some rules were created for the better design of the school, and all of them must adhere to these rules. To overcome some challenges that rural communities face, cisterns are created in the school for better use of rainwater, and a reservoir is also established. With the collected water, it is possible to irrigate orchards and gardens for the school’s use and for its students and teachers. To improve the quality of life while students are at school, various shaded areas are created on the premises. These transitional spaces allow people to be outdoors and protected from heavy rains and the sun. It is hoped that this school will improve the quality of life for those who benefit from it and, therefore, the rural population of Senegal. In addition to providing access to education, it creates a space where people can eat, play, and strengthen rural communities
