The occurrence of seismic-induced landslides is known in Protugal and Spain since remote epochs. During the last decades, several research groups have studied this topic gathering information about it. In this work, a revision of the contributions is done and a database of induced landslides in presented also, which contains both triggering events and associated landslides in the Iberian Peninsula and insular areas. From this database, an analysis of landslide characteristics is done by considering its typology and the epicentral distance as a function of the magnitude of causative event. These data constitute a base for future studies of the risk associated to this phenomenon.
