A partir da maioria da obra de Jean-Jacques Rousseau, mas com particular incidência
nas obras de natureza autobiográfica (Les Confessions e Rèveries du promeneur
solitaire), esta dissertação pretende analisar o papel da sinceridade na obra literária
do autor e a sua centralidade num possível sistema rousseauniano, que é tanto
biográfico como literário e teórico. Pretende-se também defender a singularidade e
a importância revolucionária deste mesmo sistema.
Based on the majority of Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s work but with special emphasis on the autobiographical works (Les Confessions and Rèveries du promeneur solitaire), this dissertation aims to study the role of sincerity in the author’s literary work and its core role in a hypotetical Rousseaunian system, which is as biographical as it is literary and theoretical. This dissertation also aims to argue for this same system’s uniqueness and revolutionary importance.
