O presente relatório de estágio insere-se no âmbito do Mestrado em Ciências da Documentação e Informação, para a obtenção do grau de Mestre. O estágio decorreu no Arquivo Nacional da Torre do Tombo (ANTT), entre os meses de Dezembro de 2017 e Fevereiro de 2018, realizado em tempo integral de 7h/ 8h diárias. O relatório pretende apresentar os resultados obtidos e os métodos seguidos no estágio, e representar, de forma descritiva e crítica, as tarefas efectuadas e a reflexão sobre as práticas exercidas.
Este estágio teve como principal objectivo a organização e a descrição do fundo Conselho de Comunicação Social. A matéria do relatório foca-se na organização e na representação da informação num arquivo histórico, principalmente nas actividades de classificação e descrição, que foram as actividades focais do estágio curricular.
O relatório encontra-se estruturado em duas partes principais: a revisão de literatura, que comporta a fundamentação teórica da matéria em estudo; e a descrição das actividades desenvolvidas durante o estágio, da metodologia e estrutura do relatório e das competências adquiridas e evolução pessoal.
Finalizando, o estágio permitiu uma melhor compreensão do trabalho de um arquivista, aprofundamento do conhecimento teórico através da prática, compreensão de alguns problemas e dificuldades que arquivistas enfrentam diariamente, e retratou a experiência, o conhecimento e crescimento, funcionando como uma ponte para o mercado de trabalho.
This internship report is part of the Master in Science of Documentation and Information, in order to obtain a Master's degree. The internship took place in the National Archive of Torre do Tombo (ANTT), between December 2017 and February 2018, held in full time, 7h to 8h daily. The report’s aim is to present the results obtained and the methods followed in the internship, and represent, in a descriptive and critical manner, the tasks carried out and the reflection on those practices. The main objective of this internship was the arrangement and description of the Social Communication Council fond. The subject of the report focuses on the organization and representation of information in a historical archive, mainly in the activities of classification and description, which were the focal activities of the curricular internship. This report is structured in two main parts: the literature review, which includes the theoretical basis of the subject under study; and the description of the activities carried out during the internship, the methodology and structure of the report, the acquired competences and personal evolution. Finally, the internship allowed a better understanding of the work of an archivist, deepening theoretical knowledge through practice, understanding some of the problems and difficulties that archivists face daily, and retract experience, knowledge and growth, functioning as a bridge to the market of work.
