psicológico e a dimensão ecológica.
As 69
We are currently living through a climate crisis with devastating effects. Some authors point to the idea that psychologists might have a role in fighting this crisis and, in particular, in the process of reconnecting the human being with nature. The present study aims to explore the connection between the ecological dimension and psychological well-being, through surveying perceptions of the general population regarding this connection being explored by actors of the therapeutic space, therapist and client. It also has an objective aligned with critical psychology: to increase awareness and reflexivity in relation to this possible link between psychological well being and ecological dimension. A qualitative method of Story Completion (SC) was used, in which the participants developed a story from a short stem that presents a therapist linking sustainability with well-being. The 69 stories collected through a web based platform were subjected to a thematic analysis. Results point to a majority of the sample establishing some connection between well-being and nature and agreeing to somehow integrate the ecological dimension into therapy. The idea that it may be possible to explore this dimension in therapy is thus somewhat supported by the openness manifested by the majority of the participants, a sample of the general population.
