The main objective of this work is to evaluate the pilot stage of the Kid's Athlètics Program performed by the Cape Verdean Athletics Federation between 2014 and 2016, and then to propose ideas for future action. This study also aims to improve School Sport. For this, it will be pertinent to identify some critical success factors. Well defined and exposed by the IAAF in more than 130 countries, the Kid’s Athlètics Program was created in 2005 and has reached more than thirteen million children around the world, including France, Portugal, India, USA, Latin American countries, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Angola and Cape Verde. Inserted in a matrix of "True Sports", the main concern of the program is to improve the athlete’s motor skills since a young age until High Yield, as well as the development of the citizenship competencies in which the sport is used as an issue for the human development. In 2010, the FCA was given the first kit of resources and it started organizing events, such as “Brincar ao Atletismo” for children and teenagers between the ages of 7 and 12, comprising schools, associations and other entities, including the FICASE/Lux-Dev, taking advantage the Health Promoting Schools initiative and the Ministry of Education and Sport, as key partners. Based on a diagnosis of the program, we focus on two from the fifteen primary schools of the pilot stage, we conclude that the results motivated the Federation to go on, advising improvement in some organizational aspects such as human resources and Program Sustainability, mainly through solid partnerships, materials and teacher recycling training. Proposals for the application of the next stages exist, in accordance with the actual FCA vision and mission
