Megalithic monuments in Portugal have been the subject of study and excavations since the 18th century, being seen as landmarks in the landscape, sacrificial stones and later as collective or individual burial sites, in the case of cists. However, the materials exhumed from these excavations have sometimes been incipiently published or studied. It is in this context that this dissertation arises with the aim of re-analysing and chronologically and regionally framing the vast assemblage from the Tapada de Matos/Mosteiros Dolmen - corridor area, not forgetting the studies that have already been carried out, using here the classic assumptions of archaeology: counting, measuring, weighing and classifying, with the aim of typologically framing and thus inserting the materials and the monument into a wider area, corresponding to the Megalithism of the Alto Alentejo, but also in what is the Megalithism of Southern Portugal.
