In this dissertation reflects the study of the practices of design in the development of a service through the organic waste problem, finding a solution to their recovery, Vermicomposting. Organic waste produced is a problem that fits all minimize and reuse their wealthy constituents through biological techniques, emphasizing the factors that contribute to a sustainable society and ecological objectives for the near future. The Freguesia do Parque das Nações was the zone for the implementation of the project where which was possible through citizen participation to develop a service proposal to combat the organic waste converting them into valued product, vermicompost
