No
capítulo
1
enquadramos
teórico
e
metodologicamente
a
temática
das
políticas
de
língua,
ancorados
na
perspectiva
realista
no
âmbito
das
Relações
Internacionais,
no
conceito
de
Gramática
Universal
(Noam
Chomsky),
em
teorizações
concebidas
no
seio
dos
estudos
pós
‐
coloniais,
e
no
conceito
de
comunidades
imaginárias
(Benedict
Anderson).
Enunciamos,
finalmente,
os
instrumentos
metodológicos
usados
ao
longo
do
trabalho.
No
capítulo
2
descrevemos
a
investigação
dese
nvolvida
no
estágio,
expondo
os
dados
coligidos
nos
documentos
compulsados
por
indicação
institucional.
Traçamos,
assim,
a
actividade
de
cooperação
do
Camões
IP
com
Timor
‐
Leste
a
nível
do
ensino
da
língua
portuguesa.
O
capítulo
encer
ra
com
uma
enunciação
das
iniciativas
de
cooperação
aí
levadas
a
cabo
pelo
Camões
IP.
No
capítulo
3
reflectimos
sobre
os
elementos
analisados,
através
do
enquadramento
teórico
‐
metodológico
escolhido,
procedendo
a
uma
leitura
conceptual
da
acção
do
Camões
IP
em
Timor
‐
Leste
(2007
‐
2013),
demonstrando
a
relevância
do
ensino
da
lí
ngua
portuguesa
como
instrumento
de
cooperação.
The report of our internship at Camões IP, provides an answer to our starting question: Whether the teaching of Portuguese language has contributed to the strengthening of the relations between Portugal and East ‐ Timor? Chapter one analyzes language policies within a theoretical and methodological framework, anchored in the realist perspective in International Relations, in the concept of Universal Grammar (Noam Chomsky), in theoretical approaches conceived by post ‐ colonial studies, and in the concept of imagined communities (Benedict Anderson). Eventually we make explicit our main methodological tools. Chapter two describes our research at Camões IP, thus revealing the data we collected in the institutional documents that dealt with the cooperation with East ‐ Timor. We point out Camões IP cooperation activities within the field of Portuguese language teaching. The chapter ends with a report of Camões IP cooperation action in East ‐ Timor. Chapter three analyzes the data compiled before, within our theoretical and methodological framework, in order to provide a conceptual reading of Camões IP action in East ‐ Timor (2007 ‐ 2013), and to highlight the rele vance of Portuguese language teaching in cooperation policies.
