Glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) antibodies (ab) have been associated with rare disorders, such as Stiff-person syndrome, limbic encephalitis, cerebellar ataxia, and temporal lobe epilepsy.
Other systemic autoimmune disorders have been linked to antiGAD ab, among them, diabetes mellitus (DM).
