Inserido no território da cidade de Lisboa, surge o vale de Alcântara como limite da mesma. Derivado de uma reflexão crítica, através da realização do presente trabalho, emerge a tentativa de mudança de paradigma deste local, atualmente marcado pela massificação de infraestruturas, através de uma reorganização infraestrutural de forma a proporcionar uma regeneração e coesão da paisagem do vale, contextualizando-o na cidade de Lisboa. Formula-se uma interligação dos ecossistemas existentes através da proposta de um parque urbano para este território do fundo do vale, trazendo de volta a ruralidade outrora existente neste local.
Como estratégia de colmatação da frente urbana existente, nasce a criação de quarteirões permeáveis que estabelecem uma interligação entre o elemento natural do parque e a malha urbana, conferindo uma continuidade à cidade. Transpondo as vivências dos bairros operários circundantes, propõe-se um semifecho que confere uma espacialidade mais intimista no interior do quarteirão. De modo a criar locais de permanência e percurso, são inseridos espaços de comércio e serviços determinantes para a origem de ligações sociais através da partilha das áreas comuns com a cidade.
Como resposta à evolução do modo de habitar, e às configurações familiares da contemporaneidade, propõe-se a elaboração de uma habitação com uma abordagem distinta da convencional. Integrando os conceitos de flexibilidade, modularidade e sustentabilidade, projeta-se uma habitação com capacidade de responder às necessidades do habitante, conferindo uma adaptabilidade do seu desenho, possibilitando a reinvenção organizacional espacial. Desta forma, existe uma resposta por parte da espacialidade doméstica às necessidades de quem a habita.
Inserted in the territory of the city of Lisbon, the Alcântara valley emerges as its limit. Derived from a critical reflection, through the realization of this work, emerges the attempt to change the paradigm of this place, currently marked by the massification of infrastructures, through an infrastructural reorganization. In order to provide a regeneration and cohesion of the valley landscape, contextualizing it in the city of Lisbon. An interconnection of existing ecosystems is formulated through the proposal of an urban park for this territory of the valley bottom, bringing back the rurality that once existed in this location. As a strategy to fill in the existing urban front, the creation of permeable blocks is born, establishing an interconnection between the natural element of the park and the urban network, giving continuity to the city. Transposing the experiences of the surrounding working-class neighborhoods, a semi-closed space is proposed to give a more intimate spatiality inside the block. So as to create places to stay and travel, commercial and services spaces are inserted, determining the origin of social connections through the sharing of common areas with the city. As a response to the evolution of the way of living and to the contemporary family configurations, we propose the development of a dwelling with an approach different from the conventional one. Integrating the concepts of flexibility, modularity and sustainability, it is projected a dwelling with the ability to respond to the inhabitant’s needs, giving an adaptability of its design, allowing the spatial organizational reinvention. In this way, there is a response on the part of the domestic spatiality to the needs of those who inhabit it.
