participante e a recolha documental. Estas abordagens permitiram registar e analisar as
This Master’s Thesis is presented through a report based on an 18-week internship conducted at SHL Portugal, focusing on the company's People & Strategy projects. A qualitative methodology was employed during the internship, with participant observation and document collection serving as the primary instruments. These approaches facilitated the recording and analysis of practices and processes in context, offering an in-depth understanding of the activities undertaken. The main objectives of the internship were to provide opportunities for training and experimentation in innovative Human Resources activities. Furthermore, it aimed to integrate into specific projects, allowing the intern to contribute to the organization's desired outcomes while engaging in daily learning alongside experienced HR professionals. The report is divided into six main sections: i) literature review, which explores the current state of the art on the topic; ii) methodology employed, detailing the methods and approaches applied throughout the internship; iii) description of the activities carried out during the internship, providing a detailed overview of tasks and projects developed; iv) discussion of the activities in relation to the literature, analyzing how the practices observed during the internship align with or differ from existing literature; v) limitations and future directions; and finally, vi) conclusions of the internship report. The internship experience not only enabled the intern to acquire new knowledge and develop essential skills in the Human Resources field, but it also highlighted the transformative potential of People Analytics tools in Human Resources Management and digital transformation within organizational processes. However, it is emphasized that both companies and employees still have a long way to go in understanding and fully leveraging the benefits that technologies like People Analytics can offer.
