A vivência pacífica numa comunidade global têm-se mostrado inviável sem haver
uma relação harmoniosa entre as ações individuais e as ações coletivas, sendo
que ambas se afetam mutuamente e constituem um requisito necessário para a
sobrevivência da espécie humana e do planeta.
Tendo em consideração a situação do mundo atual, onde o materialismo tem ganho
cada vez mais importância e tem dominado, praticamente, todos os setores da vida
humana, este projeto procura compreender de que forma a educação tem
contribuído para equilibrar esta visão materialista da vida nas crianças e jovens,
assim como qual tem sido a sua capacidade para responder aos diferentes
problemas e desafios da vida moderna. O projeto procura respeitar e encontrar nas
diferentes perspetivas da filosofia da educação do Ocidente e do Oriente, os
princípios comuns que refletem a missão da educação e que contribuem para o
desenvolvimento do indivíduo aprendente numa perspetiva multidimensional, ao
longo do seu processo de evolução e aprendizagem.
O projeto pretende apresentar uma proposta de filosofia da educação holística,
inclusiva e integradora que contribua para o desenvolvimento de todas as
potencialidades da pessoa incluindo, neste processo, tanto o método científico
como ensinamentos de tradições espirituais, recorrendo tanto à teoria como à
prática, não negligenciando a experiência como a componente inevitável para o
autoconhecimento e a autorrealização. As práticas meditativas, destacando a
meditação Vipassana, serão vistas e analisadas como uma ferramenta que
contribui para a conexão da pessoa com a sua própria essência, onde se encontra
a fonte de toda a sabedoria da vida. Para isso, o projeto procura mostrar que não
há nada mais importante e eficaz do que uma educação integradora para revelar
aos aprendentes os caminhos de descoberta dos seus potenciais e do sentido de
vida.
Peaceful living in a global community has proved to be unfeasible without a harmonious relationship between individual and collective action, being both affected mutually and constituting a necessary prerequisite for the survival of the human species and the planet. Taking into consideration the situation of the world today, where materialism has gained increasing importance and has dominated, almost, all the human life sectors, this project seeks to understand how education has contributed to balance this materialistic view of life in children and young people, as well as which has been its ability to answer to the different problems and challenges of the modern life. The project seeks to respect and to find in the different perspectives of Western and Eastern philosophy of education, the common principles that reflect the mission of education and contribute for the development of the learner in a multidimensional perspective, throughout his/her process of evolution and learning. The project aims to present a holistic, inclusive and integrative philosophy of education that contributes for the development of all the potential of the person including, in this process, both the scientific method and the teachings of spiritual traditions, using both theory and practice, not neglecting experience as the inevitable component for self-knowledge and self-realization. The meditative practices, highlighting the Vipassana meditation, will be seen and analysed as a tool that contributes for the connection of the person with his/her own essence, where the source of all the life wisdom is found. For this end, the project tries to show that there is nothing more important and effective than an integrative education to reveal to the learners the discovering ways of their potential and the meaning of life.
