The foot is an important pain and pathology localization. The main purpose of this study was to characterize the population of patients followed in the consultation of the Foot on the North Lisbon Hospital Centre. It also aims to explore the main complaints pointed in the consultation; and to execute agreement studies between the clinical diagnosis and the radiographic diagnosis of hallux valgus, pes cavus and flat feet. In this consultation 184 patients were followed, with a female predominance and a majority of individuals older than 56 years old. The complaint most frequently registered was metatarsalgia, the most frequent diagnosis of the foot was hallux valgus, and the most frequent systemic diagnosis was osteoarthritis. We concluded that hallux valgus diagnosis can be made only by clinical approach, but it was not possible to assess the same conclusion for the pes cavus and flat feet diagnosis.
