Migração interna em Portugal em tempos de crise : uma análise de econometria espacial

| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o impacto da crise económica de 2008 na migração ao nível municipal, de 2008 a 2015, assim como determinar quais os fatores que influenciam esta migração. Para esta análise utilizam-se dados espaciais, recorrendo-se, então, ao uso de ferramentas de econometria espacial para os trabalhar. A variável dependente em estudo representa o crescimento populacional, no período em análise, de cada município. Com recurso a software apropriado, trabalharam-se os dados mostrando ser justificável a utilização de mecanismos que captem a dependência espacial. Assim, estimaram-se modelos próprios para o efeito: SLX, SLM, SEM, SARAR, SDM e SDEM. Conclui-se que os modelos que melhor captam a dependência espacial são os modelos SLX e SLM, sendo que ambos produzem resultados semelhantes. Em ambos se verifica que a taxa de desemprego, a média de idades da população, o facto do município ser ou não capital de distrito, o número de empresas não financeiras e a percentagem da população ativa empregada nos setores primário e secundário da região, influenciam negativamente o crescimento populacional da mesma, enquanto que a balança comercial da região o influencia positivamente. No caso do SLX, verifica-se ainda que o salário mensal médio das regiões vizinhas influencia positivamente o crescimento populacional da região, sendo este influenciado negativamente pelas percentagens da população com o ensino superior concluído e da população ativa empregada nos setores primário e secundário das regiões vizinhas. Adicionalmente, no SLM, o crescimento da população de uma dada localização é determinado pelo crescimento populacional das regiões vizinhas. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the 2008 economic crisis in terms of its migration at the municipal level between 2008 and 2015. It is also the aim to determine which factors influence it. The dependent variable in this study represents the population growth in each municipality during the referenced period. With the use of appropriate software to work the data, it is concluded that tools to capture spatial dependence are required. Hence, it is necessary to estimate models with the capability to do so. The models SLX, SLM, SEM, SARAR, SDM and SDEM are estimated, concluding that the SLX and the SLM models are the ones who better capture the spatial dependence. Both models deliver similar results. The unemployment rate, the average age of the population, the municipality being or not the capital of a distrito, the number of non-financial companies and the percentage of working population that works in the primary and secondary sectors of the region decrease the population growth in that region while the trade balance of a particular region increases it. Additionally, in the SLX model, the population growth of the location increases also with the average monthly wage of the neighboring regions and decreases with the percentages of the population with a college degree and of the working population that works in the primary and secondary sectors of the neighboring locations. In the SLM, the population growth of the neighboring regions also determines the population growth of a region. | pt_PT |
