| dc.description.abstract | The Metro system of Lisbon emerged from the urban need for quality public transportation to facilitate mobility and access to daily activities, but it also established itself by humanizing the spaces of the stations through public art, thus becoming a vehicle for knowledge and artistic diffusion. Considering that the spaces of the metro stations are places of intense transit and movement, this work investigates the relation of the public with the art work, in order to look for alternatives for a greater perception of the art in these spaces. To do so, it is necessary to study public art as a vehicle of understanding the place and its relation with the everyday life of citizens and how the art of the metro is perceived by them. A survey is then performed to the daily users of the metro of Lisbon, proposing an itinerary through the metro stations and it’s art, using technological resources accessed through mobile devices. Given this, it is intended that the users of the metro can acquire a greater cultural knowledge transforming the spaces of the metro in stimuli to awaken the perception of the art and the city. We can conclude that it is not possible to reach all the people because of the limitation of the use of mobile devices and the difficulties of people with special needs, but it is believed that this study can contribute to future research, where inclusion is a priority for the development of a society fairer for all. | pt_PT |
