Our investigation is centered in the field of study and comprehension of the fantastical creatus in the western world. This subject touches many important elements such historical, scientifical and artistical references that changed through time. The fantasy world has always been a mirror of the society in which it is created, and that is still true today, and its presence is very important in the enterteinment business, like cinema and videogames. With that being said, we have to think about the utiliy of the monsters nowadays, in arts, giving some highlight to the importance of drawing applied to the fantastic theme and educational and motivational purposes. The main focus of this article is based on my experience as a teacher using this fantastical theme as a motivational tool
