Resumo(s)

The present dissertation approaches the colour in the museology expositive speech. Just focus on the academic and disciplinary plan of the colour function in the museography - museum, would not be a complete approach. That is why there should be mention the study of the phenomenon of the colour and its multiple potentialities. In the approach on the theory of the colour, it's having in account: its history, perception, symbology/meaning, subjectivity, reaction and culture. In orther to better understand the nature of the colour, it is observed the basics requisites on how the colour is perceived: the light and the vision. The light is basic to the perception of the colour. It is placed in the history and evolution of the museological expositive speeches and trends, never forgetting the problematic of the museulogical object. Considering just the genesis of museums that retraces to the cabinets of curiosities, where the objects constitute the central focus. Until the XX century when there was an explosion in the birth of new museums, bringing the consequence of rejuvenate of the museology and the museography. This trend keep growing until our days, and the expositions influenced by the technician progress become more complete in their presentation and varied disposal. Finally is establish the connection of the two subjects where through theoretical support is mention and alert for the use of the colour as form of: to point out and to improve the perception of a expositive passage, to value objects or workmanships, to simplify and to clarify the reading of the message on the part of the public, or its simple use to become more pleasant the environment of an exhibition. It is remarked, that exist a physical reactions to the presence of determined colour. The colour is modified by the illumination. although the physical effect of the colours to each others, its identity is established by relation and connection – A factor to have in account so that in an exhibition the displayed objects won't be annulled
