A proposta deste trabalho é analisar aspectos composicionais associados à análise temática e à análise simbólica de contos selecionados de Teolinda Gersão. Os textos foram extraídos das duas últimas publicações referentes a esse gênero narrativo: Prantos, amores e outros desvarios (2016) e Atrás da porta e outras histórias (2019). Notou-se que a partir dos significados provenientes dessas análises são desveladas questões voltadas aos relacionamentos familiares, que se ramificam em diversos tópicos e designam a complexidade inerente aos seres humanos. Elaborou-se um estudo com o propósito de evidenciar o caráter universal das narrativas da autora, o que não excluiu o modo singular de partilhar seu olhar sobre a cultura portuguesa. A constituição da dimensão de suas histórias parte de desdobramentos sociais, históricos e psicológicos, tendo em conta os relacionamentos humanos em um período marcado por profundas mudanças culturais e comportamentais. Teolinda Gersão partilha uma escrita literária que convida o leitor a caminhar por sua prosa e a refletir sobre os delineamentos do homem comum e de seus questionamentos que reverberam na atual sociedade contemporânea.
The proposal of this work is to analyze compositional aspects associated with thematic analysis and symbolic analysis of selected short stories by Teolinda Gersão. The texts were extracted from the last two publications referring to this narrative genre: Prantos, amores e outros desvarios (2016) and Atrás da porta e outras histórias (2019). It was found that from the meanings arising from these analyzes, issues related to family relationships are unveiled, which ramify into different topics and designate the inherent complexity of human beings. A study was carried out with the purpose of highlighting the universal character of the author's narratives, which did not exclude the unique way of sharing her perspective on Portuguese culture. The constitution of the dimension of their stories is based on social, historical and psychological developments, taking into account human relationships in a period marked by profound cultural and behavioral changes. Teolinda Gersão shares a literary writing that invites the reader to walk through her prose and to reflect on the outlines of the common man and his questions that reverberate in the current contemporary society.
