Numa época de marcado envelhecimento demográfico, surgem novos desafios para a sociedade, nomeadamente: potenciar uma maior convivência entre gerações; acentuar a importância da solidariedade intergeracional e fomentar o envelhecimento activo.
Diferentes classes etárias encontram-se directamente relacionadas com características, capacidades e necessidades muito específicas, obrigando a que a comunidade se organize, de maneira a definir respostas que lhes permitam alcançar o empowerment desejado. Este sucesso tem como base fulcral as relações que se estabelecem no seio da família e que por sua vez interferem com toda a sociedade.
Com o presente estudo pretende-se analisar o fenómeno das relações intergeracionais, mais concretamente as questões sociais, que coadjuvam e condicionam este processo.
A investigação decorreu no distrito de Lisboa, nomeadamente no Centro Infantil e no Lar de Idosos da Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Vila de Alenquer e pretende contribuir para a compreensão da realidade, complexidade e especificidade das relações intergeracionais, alertando para a importância da consciencialização deste fenómeno.
In a time of marked population aging, new challenges for society, including: foster greater understanding between generations, emphasizing the importance of intergenerational solidarity and active aging. Different age groups are directly related to characteristics, capabilities, and very specific needs, forcing the community to organize in order to define responses that enable them to achieve the desired empowerment. This success is based on the key relationships that are established within the family and that in turn interfere with the whole society. With this study aims to analyze the phenomenon of intergenerational relations, specifically social issues, which assist and influence this process. The research took place in the district of Lisboa, and the Center for Children and Elderly Home in Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Alenquer and to contribute to the understanding of reality, complexity and specificity of intergenerational relations, stressing the importance of awareness of this phenomenon.
