Resumo(s)
This study arises from the desire to understand the factors that led to the foundation of urban areas and understand how the terrain morphology influenced their growth and development. In order to do this, it starts up firstly by making a historical framing of the various times that influenced the foundation of urban agglomerations in the world and more specifically, Portugal.
Then, it will present a short historical retrospective on the study area, addressing the most important events, as well as an ecological interpretation and integrated planning, with the aim of preparing the Fundamental Ecological Structure. Subsequently, it is designed to study the relationship between urban agglomerations and terrain morphology in the municipality of Góis.
Finally, based on the ecological network, the study of urban areas and the “Landscape-System” methodology, a Land Use Proposal is described, in order to establish a balance between ecological factors and the current uses of the land.
