In the conclusion of the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences, there was the possibility to relate the topic of the final thesis of the course to oral contraceptive methods. This is a very current topic as the implementation of sex education in schools has been playing a key role in educating our population and the results are already visible in the statistics made and compared with previous years. In today's society, where women work outside the home and with the implementation of fees in hospitals and health centers, they often prefer not to go to a family planning consultation just to advise themselves on the contraceptive method that is most suitable for them. In that case, pharmacists in community pharmacy are the first line of contact and they will play a key role in advising and training the society. But first, we must realize the two greatest difficulties and mistakes. In this work we intend to achieve the following goal: to evaluate women’s level of knowledge and their habits in the use of oral contraceptives. Thus, we’ll try to find out what their greatest difficulties and biggest mistakes are so that, as pharmacists, we can help and inform them while providing oral contraceptives in community pharmacy. It can be concluded that women's knowledge of oral contraceptives depended on the situation concerned. Regarding the effect on menstrual pain, flow, acne, weight, varicose veins and risk of thrombosis, the answer was correct and unanimous; regarding emotional issues, cancer, dermatological problems, gastrointestinal problems, migraines with aura, cholesterol and diabetes, the answers were more dispersed. Regarding the habits, it was concluded that most women take pills correctly and knew how to act in case they forget to take a pill.
